The Department of Molecular Genetics, Biochemistry, and Microbiology at the University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine invites innovative and visionary scientists to apply for a tenure track position at the Assistant or Associate rank. The College of Medicine is the primary research engine at the University of Cincinnati, linking discovery, translational, and clinical outcome scientists in a pipeline that is transforming health care. The Department’s discovery scientists can access expertise within all of UC’s 14 colleges to create a dynamic and novel approach to solving problems from the molecular level to the patient’s bedside. Enhancing the discovery sciences is the focus of the College over the next several years. The successful candidate will join this cohort of new scientists to become leaders in this research environment. We seek candidates who will address fundamental basic science questions at the molecular level as they relate to human health. It is anticipated that these individuals will synergize with current faculty in areas including but not limited to cellular signaling, viral/bacterial pathogenesis, structural biology, regenerative medicine, inflammation and protein folding disorders. Individuals with expertise in nanobody development, biological sensors, CRISPR, single molecule and imaging techniques are highly desirable. College investment in Core infrastructure provides the faculty with a variety of up-to-date core facilities with access to instrumentation and technical expertise to enrich their programs. Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent degree and have relevant postdoctoral experience.
