The Organization
The Division of Cardiovascular Sciences supports research to advance understanding of and interventions for promoting heart and vascular health across the lifespan. It also supports research aimed at preventing and treating pediatric and adult cardiovascular diseases, including heart attack, heart failure, stroke, and congenital heart disease.
The Role
The incumbent will be responsible for the planning, organization and direction of programs of extramural and collaborative research; the conceptualization of new research directions and projects; and the management and evaluation of grant applications.
About You
Ideal candidates will have an outstanding record of research accomplishments, experience with clinical investigations/trials, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to oversee complex research programs. Desired expertise includes, but is not limited to, interventional cardiology, cardiovascular device, electrophysiology, coronary artery and/or vascular disease, hypertension, and heart failure. Position requires US citizenship and an active medical license. Position doesn’t involve direct patient care or laboratory work
